Qualifications

  • Experience in implementing and maintaining EHS programs across manufacturing sites.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, SEDEX and related audit processes.
  • Ability to prepare and submit environment and safety reports to authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Factory Inspector, MIDC Officers and regulatory bodies for inspections and compliance queries.
  • Fulfilling statutory requirements pertaining to industrial safety, health and environment.
  • Maintain and supervise ISO 9001 and SEDEX related documents and audit observations.
  • Plan and conduct safety trainings, safety drills, and safety committee activities.
  • Oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste management and disposal in compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain records for all EHS operations and annual EKPI/CHQ reports.

Roles and Responsibility

Liaison with Factory Inspector (DISH), Medical & Certifying surgeon (DISH), MIDC Officers, Explosive department and other regularities bodies as and when required. Provide them Compliance report related to their Inspections / Visit or any queries raised by them. Fulfilling the statutory requirements pertaining to the industrial safety, health & environment. Safe Protection of all the equipment’s within the factory, surrounding environment and human beings. Controlling and co-ordination with respective government department for disposal of hazardous wastes in time and maintaining related documents. Maintain relevant data for all operations being carried out in manufacturing Preparing Monthly EHS Performance Report, EKPI Report and submitting at Corporate EHS CHQ Mumbai Conducting Yearly National Safety Day / Week Programs in view of motivation to employees by arranging Different types of Safety Competitions / Programs. Maintain all the relevant (HSE) documents related to Integrated Management System i.e. ISO 9001, SEDEX and comply the entire audit’s observations or recommendations within the stipulated time frame. Assisting in Preparation / submission work of environment report (statement), Cess returns Water / Hazardous returns / Water, Air & Hazardous waste Consent for renewal / establishment to State Pollution Control Board. Formulation of Environment Manual / ETP manual / Handling of hazardous & Non-hazardous waste. Liaison with Pollution Control Authorities (MPCB) and others regularities bodies as and when required. And provide them Compliance report related to their Inspections / Visit or any queries raised by them. Handling, carryout maintenance / testing / commissioning of all types of firefighting system i.e. CO2 flooding (Auto & Manual), Clean gas, Foam flooding, MCP, Smoke detectors, Fire Alarm, Fire Door and other Firefighting equipment’s Conducting and Maintaining Different types of Firefighting Extinguishers, Hydrant systems, Smoke detectors, Foam flooding, MCP for Fire alarms through AMC. Attending the Pre-business Multinational Ethical, EHS Audits as our business related to custom synthesis / Toll manufacturing and fulfils their finding if any. Arranging / Coordinating periodically Safety committee meeting / Mock drill / Fire Drill/ Job Safety Analysis / HAZOP, Safety Audit & Safety Inspections and suggest corrective measures as part of continual improvement of EHS. Conducting Periodical On Site / Off Site Safety Training to our Employees & Contractor’s Work men; Topics will be covered – Basic Fire Safety, Chemical Safety, To Avoid Static Charge Generation & Its Control, Safe operation of Fork lift Operations/ Stacker Operations, On Site Emergency Control Plan, Use of PPES by Employees / Workmen, Requirements of MSDS and their uses , Fire Fighting Skills, CO2 Flooding System , Live demonstrations of CO2 Flooding System & Fire Fighting, Foam Flooding Systems, Fire Alarms operations, Spill Kits operations, Handling of SCBA, HIRA & IER in view of OHSAS & EMS. Attending Global EHS Concall periodically Conducting Periodical Safety Inspections – In view of Potential to Near miss and submitting report to respective HOD for compliances. Conducting post Incident / accident Investigation and recommended remedies to avoid re-occurrences. Conducting Internal Noise & Environment Monitoring activities Periodically. Other related New EHS program being conducted as and when required by organization. Assisting EHS Information to our other Units as and when required.
