Job summary

Huhtamaki India Limited in Khopoli, Maharashtra, is seeking a skilled machine operator with a Diploma in Printing Technology and at least four years of experience in printing machinery. You will assist in setup, monitor parameters, run production, and ensure quality per SOP.

You will follow 5S and safety procedures, report abnormalities, maintain records, and participate in Kaizen and productivity improvements.

Qualifications

• Min 4 years of experience operating similar printing machines.
• Diploma in Printing Technology required.
• Familiar with quality inspections per SOP and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in machine setup, job changeovers, and cylinder mounting.
• Monitor machine parameters and ensure smooth operation.
• Check print quality, color matching, and registration.
• Conduct routine quality inspections per SOP.
• Record production data and downtime accurately.
• Follow 5S, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Identify safety hazards and report abnormalities.
• Support Kaizen and productivity improvements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in machine setup, job changeovers, and cylinder mounting.
• Arrange raw materials as per job specifications.
• Monitor machine parameters such as speed, tension, register, and drying conditions.
• Smooth machine operation to achieve planned production output.
• Assist in troubleshooting minor machine-related issues.
• Check print quality, color matching, registration, and defects during production.
• Conduct routine quality inspections as per SOP and quality standards.
• Report quality abnormalities immediately to the First Line Operator.
• Maintain production records accurately : Record production data, wastage, downtime, and quality check results accurately.
• Handle reels safely using approved material handling equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout practices.
• Maintain cleanliness around the machine and work area as per 5S standards.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions and near-miss incidents.
• Participate in WCO, Kaizen, and productivity improvement activities.
• Support initiatives to reduce machine downtime, wastage, and quality defects.
• Develop multi-skilling capabilities and cross-functional competencies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Experience & Qualifications

Experience : Min 4 years experience in machine operation of similar type Qualification : Diploma in Printing Technology
