Job summary

Huhtamaki India Limited, part of the India Specification Team, seeks a design-focused professional to develop and maintain Keyline Drawings and Cylinder Layout Drawings for in-house pouching projects using AutoCAD or equivalent design software. You will review artwork, manage pouching tools and assets across sites, support NPD, coordinate job transfers, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Operations, and cross-functional teams to drive pouching development

Qualifications

• Experience in the flexible packaging industry preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Keyline Drawings (KLDs) and Cylinder Layout Drawings (CLDs) for pouching projects using AutoCAD or equivalent design software.
• Review and approve processed artwork for pouching layouts in line with KLDs/CLDs and technical specifications.
• Manage and maintain records of pouching tools and assets across Huhtamaki India sites.
• Coordinate pouching job transfers between production units.
• Update formulations/recipes and master data to support manufacturing needs.
• Provide technical support for new product development related to pouching applications.
• Ensure compliance with processes, quality standards, and Huhtamaki policies.

Position summary

The position is part of India Specification Team and following are the key roles and responsibilities:Develop and maintain Keyline Drawings (KLDs) and Cylinder Layout Drawings (CLDs) for in-house pouching projects using AutoCAD or equivalent design software.Review and approve processed artwork for pouching layouts, ensuring full compliance with approved KLDs/CLDs and technical specifications.Manage and maintain records of pouching tools and related assets across all Huhtamaki India Flexible Packaging manufacturing sites.Coordinate and support pouching job transfer activities between production units.Review and approve product specifications within the designated business systems for in-house pouching and other flexible packaging products.Create and update formulations/recipes and master data in the system to support manufacturing requirements.Create and update machine resources and system master data to ensure operational readiness and accuracy.Provide technical support for new product development (NPD) and innovation projects related to pouching applications, aligned with business and customer requirements.Ensure compliance with all established processes, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements in accordance with Huhtamaki policies.Collaborate closely with Sales, R&D, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to facilitate new pouching developments and drive business objectives.Promote and uphold Huhtamaki’s Code of Conduct, Values, Ethical Standards, and Legal Compliance Requirements across all activities and interactions.

Key Accountabilities

Accurate and timely creation of KLDs, CLDs, specifications, formulas, pouching layout approvals.Maintain record of pouching tools and machine specifications across manufacturing locations in consultation with manufacturing sites.Seamless execution of pouching job transfers and product implementation activities.Strong cross-functional collaboration to support innovation, operational excellence, and customer requirements.Consistent adherence to quality, compliance, and corporate governance standards.

Education & Experience

• Experience in the flexible packaging industry is preferred; Exposure to the broader packaging industry, including industries involved in preform pouching operations or related converting and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a matrix organization and manage teams remotely across different locations.
• Capable of translating strategic objectives into actionable plans, driving execution, monitoring progress, and reporting achievements against defined targets.
• Results-oriented mindset with strong planning, coordination, and execution capabilities.
• Good knowledge of pouching & other operational processes & substrates used in flexible packaging.
