Job summary

Classic Marble Company in India is seeking a maintenance engineer to execute and monitor preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment to ensure maximum plant uptime.

You will troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, plan maintenance schedules and supervise technicians, while ensuring safety and compliance.

Experience in stone or marble industry is preferred; SAP/CMMS documentation and continuous improvement initiatives are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Knowledge of RCA tools and methods.
• Ability to plan maintenance schedules and shutdowns.
• Maintain equipment history and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Execute and monitor preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment to ensure maximum plant uptime.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis of recurring mechanical issues and drive reliability improvements.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance schedules, shutdowns, and annual maintenance activities.
• Maintain critical equipment such as pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ensure availability of spare parts and optimize maintenance costs.
• Supervise technicians and contractors, ensuring timely and quality execution of maintenance work.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and statutory requirements during maintenance activities.
• Maintain maintenance records, equipment history, and documentation through SAP/CMMS.
• Support installation, commissioning, modification, and continuous improvement projects to enhance plant performance and efficiency.
