Job summary

The People Office in Mumbai is seeking a senior banking/financial services leader to join a fast-growing fintech and play a key role in building and scaling its Banking & Payments Business.

The ideal candidate has 15–25 years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, Payments or closely related fields, with strong relationships across banks, financial institutions and the payments ecosystem. This is a business, commercial and relationship-led leadership role.

Qualifications

• Strong relationships across banks, financial institutions, enterprises and the payments ecosystem.
• Proven experience in business development, commercial ownership, partnerships or revenue generation.

• Work closely with senior management, product and technology teams to develop commercially viable propositions.
• Take ownership of business outcomes, with potential revenue, transaction volume and/or P&L responsibility.

Experience: 15–25 years | CXO / Business Head level

We are looking for a senior banking/financial services professional to join a fast-growing Mumbai-based fintech and play a key role in building and scaling its Banking & Payments Business.

The role is suited for a commercially driven leader with strong industry relationships and experience in payments, transaction banking, digital banking, merchant acquiring, corporate payments, UPI/payment gateways, API banking or fintech partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and drive new business opportunities across banks, financial institutions, enterprises and fintechs.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with senior stakeholders across the banking and payments ecosystem.
• Drive revenue, transaction volumes and strategic partnerships.
• Develop and execute business opportunities across payments, transaction banking, merchant acquiring, corporate payments and digital banking.
• Work closely with senior management, product and technology teams to develop commercially viable propositions.
• Take ownership of business outcomes, with potential revenue, transaction volume and/or P&L responsibility.

Ideal Candidate:

• 15–25 years of relevant experience in Banking, Financial Services, Payments or closely related businesses.
• Strong relationships across banks, financial institutions, enterprises and the payments ecosystem.
• Proven experience in business development, commercial ownership, partnerships or revenue generation.
• Candidates with slightly lower experience may also be considered if they bring exceptional payments expertise and strong industry relationships.
