Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Define technology strategy, architecture and modernization roadmap while driving engineering excellence, AI, automation and cloud adoption.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across architecture, system design, scalability, security, reliability and critical production issues.
• Lead large engineering teams and end-to-end delivery, partnering with Product, Business, Risk, Operations and Compliance.
• Build highly scalable, secure and resilient payment platforms supporting high transaction volumes, low latency and high availability.
• Drive microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, cloud, Kubernetes, DevOps/DevSecOps and SRE adoption.
• Own platform reliability, DR, observability, security, fraud prevention, business continuity and regulatory compliance.
• Lead integrations with banks, card networks and financial partners.
• Challenge architectural decisions, mentor senior engineering leaders and make key technology, platform and modernization decisions.
• Ensure compliance with RBI, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, CERT-In, and applicable regulatory frameworks.

Education: Bachelors in Engineering

Experience: 18-22 years; of which ideally 8–10+ years in senior Technology/Engineering leadership

About the Role: We are looking for a Head / Deputy CTO to lead technology vision, architecture, security and engineering for our payments platform. The role demands a hands-on technology leader with deep expertise in building and scaling secure, high-availability digital platforms.

The ideal candidate should combine strategic leadership with strong technical depth, while influencing architects, engineers, business leaders, regulators and CXOs.

• AI/ML, automation, real-time analytics, performance engineering and scalability.
• Strong ability to lead architecture/design reviews, evaluate trade-offs, resolve critical production issues and challenge technical decisions.
• Ability to mentor senior engineers/architects and drive technology-stack, platform and modernization decisions.
