Job summary

L&T Finance is seeking a visionary Lead Payment Manager to own the strategic roadmap, scale, and compliance of the UPI payment ecosystem. You will drive ecosystem partnerships with NPCI, RBI, and sponsor banks, and lead product delivery across Core UPI, UPI Lite, Autopay, and related expansions.

The role requires 14–15 years in BFSI/Fintech, with deep knowledge of IMPS, PSP models, TPAP, and high-volume payment infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 14–15 years of experience in BFSI or Fintech, leading product/operations.
• Strong understanding of IMPS, PSP models, TPAP frameworks, switch infra, and clearing/settlement cycles.
• Proven experience in managing high-volume payment infrastructure and leading cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience launching a UPI solution tailored for a D2C model.
• Detail-oriented with regulatory acumen, analytical skills, and commercial negotiation capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end strategy and roadmap for UPI products (Core UPI, UPI Lite, Autopay, Credit Line on UPI, intl expansions).
• Collaborate with tech, risk, legal, and banking partners to drive timely feature delivery and cost optimization.
• Prepare comprehensive business requirements documentation, and risk mitigation frameworks.
• Track system health, fraud metrics, and post-launch adoption to drive upgrades and dispute-resolution mechanics.
• Benchmark with global fintech trends to deliver a market-leading digital payment experience.

Key Requirements:

• 14-15 years of experience in BFSI or Fintech as a Product/Operations Leader, with prior experience in the UPI ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of IMPS, PSP models, TPAP frameworks, switch infrastructure, and clearing/settlement cycles.
• Proven experience in managing high-volume payment infrastructure and leading cross-functional engineering and product delivery teams.
• Hands-on experience in launching a UPI payment solution tailored for a D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) model.
