Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Layout Designer in Hyderabad to drive layout for analog/mixed-signal blocks.

You will work on floor-planning, placement, and routing, ensuring timing and performance targets while maintaining design rule compliance. Responsibilities include creating high-quality layouts for critical blocks such as PLLs, ADCs, DACs, and reference generators, and collaborating with TD, CAD, and design teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in creating layouts for analog and mixed-signal blocks.
• Familiarity with design rules, floor-planning, placement, and routing.
• Proficient in LVS/DRC debugging and layout verification.
• Knowledge of parasitics, matching, IR-drop, and crosstalk.

Responsibilities

• Understand design constraints and implement high-quality layouts.
• Proficient with Cadence VXL on periphery blocks.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for LVS, DRC & layout issues.
• Hands-on experience creating layouts of critical blocks such as temperature sensors, PLL, ADC, DAC, LDO, bandgap, reference generators, charge pumps, current mirrors, comparators, differential amplifiers, etc.
• Good understanding of analog layout fundamentals such as matching, electro-migration, latch-up, coupling, crosstalk, IR-drop, active and passive parasitic devices, etc.
• Understand layout effects on circuit performance including speed, capacitance, power, and area.
• Oversee and manage the layout process including floor-planning, placement, and routing.
• Understand design rules and deliver quality layout.
• Deliver mid-size blocks, including signal and floorplan, in core/pitch and periphery area.
• Work with design and other engineering groups to apply multiple layout techniques for arrays, digital and analog circuits.
• Execute secondary layout tasks such as ECO, LCO, and DFM.
• Coordinate with TD, design, CAD, and layout teams to deliver on schedule with quality.
• Leverage automation and AI tools to enhance productivity.
