Job summary

The Senior Interior Designer at FDC Studios in Bengaluru leads residential and commercial interior projects from concept to completion, delivering design solutions that balance function and aesthetic quality.

You will develop presentations and mood boards, coordinate space planning, and produce detailed drawings while collaborating with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to budget. On-site supervision and mentorship of junior staff are also expected.

Qualifications

• Experience translating client needs into cohesive design concepts.
• Proficiency in space planning for residential and/or commercial spaces.
• Proficient in construction drawings and technical documentation.
• FF&E knowledge including selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, finishes and equipment.
• Degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Strong software skills: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit.
• Experience coordinating with contractors, vendors and site teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for client meetings.
• Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, collaborative studio.

Role Description

The Senior Interior Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for leading residential and/or commercial interior projects from concept to completion. This role involves developing design concepts, preparing presentations and mood boards, coordinating space planning, and producing detailed drawings and specifications. The designer will collaborate with clients to understand requirements, manage expectations, and present design solutions that balance function, aesthetics, and budget. Day-to-day activities include supervising design execution on-site, coordinating with vendors and contractors, overseeing FF&E selections and procurement, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines. The Senior Interior Designer will also mentor junior team members, contribute to design guidelines, and support continuous improvement of studio processes.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and Architecture skills, with experience translating client needs into cohesive design concepts.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Space Planning, ensuring efficient, ergonomic, and safe layouts for residential and/or commercial spaces.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Construction Drawings and technical documentation, including detailed plans, elevations, and joinery drawings.
• Candidates should possess solid FF&E knowledge, including selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, finishes, and equipment.
• Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), and familiarity with visualization tools.
• Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end interior projects, including coordination with contractors, vendors, and site teams.
• Excellent communication, client-facing, and presentation skills, with the ability to lead meetings and convey design intent clearly.
