Job summary

Enertek Solutions in Maharashtra, India, is seeking an experienced Instrument Engineer. You will apply practical knowledge of industrial instrumentation, instrument selection, P&ID preparation, and instrumentation engineering to select instruments based on process needs and to prepare and review P&IDs and related documents.

You will coordinate with Process, Electrical, Mechanical and Automation teams, review vendor datasheets, support procurement, and participate in site visits, testing,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industrial process instrumentation.
• Experience with P&ID preparation and instrument tagging.
• Ability to select and size instruments for processes.
• Familiarity with instrument datasheets and specs.
• Understanding of PLC/DCS/SCADA interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements for instrumentation selection.
• Select instruments (pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, flow meters, level transmitters, control valves, switches, sensors, gas detectors).
• Prepare and review P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) as per process requirements.
• Develop instrumentation philosophy and identify measurement and control points.
• Prepare instrument datasheets and technical specifications.
• Prepare Instrument Index, I/O List, Instrument List, and Valve List.
• Develop and review instrument hook-up drawings and installation details.
• Prepare/review instrumentation cable schedules and termination details.
• Coordinate with Process, Piping, Electrical, Mechanical, and Automation/PLC teams.
• Understand control loops and basic PLC/DCS/SCADA requirements.
• Review vendor technical offers and instrument datasheets.
• Evaluate technical compliance of instruments and provide procurement recommendations.
• Prepare RFQ technical specifications and support procurement during evaluation.
• Participate in site visits, installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Review vendor drawings, GA drawings, manuals, and test certificates.
• Ensure instrumentation design complies with standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate with clients and vendors for clarifications.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Instrument Engineer who has strong practical knowledge of industrial instrumentation, instrument selection, P&ID preparation, and instrumentation engineering. The candidate will be responsible for selecting suitable instruments based on process requirements and preparing/reviewing P&IDs and related engineering documents.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand project process requirements, equipment datasheets, and process parameters for instrumentation selection.
• Select suitable instruments such as:
• Pressure Transmitters
• Temperature Transmitters
• Flow Meters
• Level Transmitters
• Control Valves
• On/Off Valves
• Solenoid Valves
• Switches and Sensors
• Gas Detectors and Gas Analyzers
• Load Cells and other process instruments
• Prepare and review P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) as per process requirements.

Required Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of industrial process instrumentation.
• Strong knowledge of instrument selection and sizing.
• Good understanding of P&ID symbols, process lines, control loops, and instrumentation tagging.
• Ability to prepare and modify P&IDs using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Knowledge of instrument datasheets and technical specifications.
• Understanding of 420 mA, HART, digital signals, RTD, thermocouple, pulse, and other industrial signals.
• Basic knowledge of PLC/DCS/SCADA interfaces and I/O requirements.
• Knowledge of control valves, actuators, solenoid valves, and positioners.
• Ability to understand process parameters such as pressure, temperature, flow, level, and density.
• Knowledge of instrumentation installation, cabling, termination, testing, and commissioning is preferred.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
