Job summary

Ballestra Engineering And Projects is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer for chemical plants in Bengaluru. The role requires designing and detailing instrumentation and electrical work scopes, plus drafting P&ID, wiring and I/O lists.

Responsibilities include preparing specifications, selecting instruments, and developing PLC/DCS architectures. FAT/SAT testing and cable/layout drafting with AutoCAD are essential. English communication and teamwork are important assets.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in instrumentation or Electronics, 5–8 years of experience.
• Experience in chemical/oil & gas/pharma plants is preferred.
• Exposure to electrical engineering activities desirable.
• Strong English communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design & detailed engineering of instrumentation and electrical work scope for chemical plants.
• Prepare specifications and datasheets for field instruments, control valves, flow meters, etc.
• Prepare the instrument index and I/O list according to P&ID drawings.
• Preparation of Cable Tray Layout, Instrument BOM, Junction box layouts, etc.
• Selection of instruments, cables, junction boxes, etc.
• Preparing PLC/DCS architecture engineering and drawing.
• Experience in system testing (FAT and SAT).
• Preparation of Loop drawings, Hookup drawings, etc.
• Preparation of Pneumatic diagrams & BOM.
• Calculate and select cable sizes, cable glands & cable trays.
• Hands-on experience in drafting software like AutoCAD is a must.
• Develop electrical and instrument layout drawings using AutoCAD software.
• Develop cable tray routing drawings using AutoCAD software.

• Prepare specifications and datasheets for Field Instruments, Control Valves, Flow Meters, etc.
• Preparing the instrument index and I/O list according to P&I drawings
• Preparation of Cable Tray Layout, Instrument BOM, Junction box layouts, etc.
