Job summary

Linde PLC in India is seeking an Instrumentation & Control Commissioning Engineer responsible for erection and commissioning of instrumentation and process control systems on medium and small-scale projects, ensuring safety, quality and timely completion. The incumbent will work closely with site teams, customers and suppliers.

The role requires strong knowledge of instrument components, calibration, P&ID reading, DCS/PLC logic, and practical field experience.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of instrumentation components and calibration.
• Experience with site jobs and commissioning.
• Familiar with P&ID, data sheets, cable schedules.
• Knowledge of DCS/PLC logic and diagram reading.
• Exposure to Air Separation Unit is a plus.
• Ability to coordinate with team and stakeholders.

Purpose of the position The incumbent shall be responsible for erection & commissioning of Instrumentation & Process Control system of medium & small-size projects, ensuring safety, quality & timely completion of instrumentation jobs.

Required key skill (functional / technical)

• Should have good knowledge in Basic Instrumentation i, e. Control Valve, transmitters, temperature, pressure, level measurement
• Should Have knowledge on Erection Bulk Items (Cable Tray, Cable, Tube, Tube Fittings, Cable Gland, Junction Box, Conduits)
• Basic knowledge about DCS & PLC system Erection & commissioning.
• Basic knowledge about various types of Control & On-Off valves used in process industries.
• Ability to Perform Control Valve Calibration and Trouble shooting of the same during Commissioning.
• Basic knowledge in Reading of Engineering documents like P&ID, Schematic Wiring drawing, Instrument data sheets, cable schedule, Installation Hook Up diagram etc.
• Knowledge of Analyzers like CO2 trace, O2 purity & trace, Moisture, N2O etc.
• Knowledge in calibration of all type of instruments used in process plant.
• Hands on experience in Control system
• Hands on knowledge in DCS/PLC logic & troubleshooting of DCS/PLC etc.
• Should have knowledge of MS office tools, Word, excel, power point etc.
• Shall be coordinating with others in the team to achieve common objectives.
• A good communicator, Team player and presentation skills.

Required qualifications/experience

Good knowledge in instrumentation with experience of site jobs. Thorough experience in Calibration, Installation, Cable laying, Termination, Loop checking, pre-commissioning & commissioning of different type instrumentation items. Knowledge in PLC/DCS system for commissioning process plant. Knowledge in development of Erection BOQ. Familiar with instrumentation drawing documents like P&ID, instrument data sheets, Cable tray layout, cable schedule & DCS/PLC logic diagram.

Knowledge in Air Separation Unit.

B-Tech in Instrumentation with 4-6 Years of experience or Diploma in Instrumentation with 6-8 Years of experience.
