Job summary

JobItUs in Vadodara, India is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to drive design, procurement support, and installation activities across chemical and EPC projects. You will read P&IDs, specify instruments, and coordinate with control-system teams to ensure seamless automation integration.

The role requires hands-on experience with field instruments, valves, gas detectors, and associated control systems, plus strong communication to collaborate with mechanical, electrical, process, and project

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Instrumentation & Control Systems.
• Experience with P&ID reading is required.
• Knowledge of field instruments, control valves and gas detectors.
• Understanding PLC/SCADA/DCS systems.
• Experience in Instrumentation Design and Project Execution.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, Fertilizer, Oil & Gas or EPC industries is preferred.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review P&IDs, Instrument Index, Instrument Datasheets and Instrument Specifications.
• Handle selection and sizing of field instruments such as Pressure, Temperature, Flow and Level Transmitters.
• Work on Control Valves, Pressure Safety Valves, Gas Detectors and other instrumentation systems.
• Prepare Instrument Hook-up Drawings, Cable Schedules, Loop Diagrams and Instrument Layouts.
• Coordinate with PLC, SCADA, DCS and control system teams for automation requirements.
• Prepare technical specifications, material requisitions and technical bid evaluation documents.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for instrument procurement and technical clarification.
• Support site installation, inspection, testing, loop checking and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards and applicable engineering codes.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Process and Project Engineering teams.
