Job summary

Navrang HR Solutions in Vadodara is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to design and oversee plant instrumentation activities. The role involves P&ID review, instrument specs, and collaboration with control system teams to ensure reliable automation.

You will coordinate with vendors, prepare technical documents, and support site installation, testing, and commissioning in oil, gas, or chemical sectors. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in P&ID reading and instrumentation engineering.
• Knowledge of field instruments and gas detection systems.
• Understanding of PLC/SCADA/DCS systems.
• Experience in instrumentation design and project execution.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review P&IDs, Instrument Index, Datasheets and Specifications.
• Select and size field instruments: Pressure, Temperature, Flow and Level Transmitters.
• Work on Control Valves, Pressure Safety Valves, Gas Detectors and other instrumentation systems.
• Prepare Instrument Hook-up Drawings, Cable Schedules, Loop Diagrams and Instrument Layouts.
• Coordinate with PLC, SCADA, DCS and control system teams for automation requirements.
• Prepare technical specifications, material requisitions and technical bid evaluation documents.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for instrument procurement and technical clarification.
• Support site installation, inspection, testing, loop checking and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards and applicable engineering codes.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Process and Project Engineering teams.

Job Responsibilities

1. Prepare and review P&IDs, Instrument Index, Instrument Datasheets and Instrument Specifications.




2. Handle selection and sizing of field instruments such as Pressure, Temperature, Flow and Level Transmitters.




3. Work on Control Valves, Pressure Safety Valves, Gas Detectors and other instrumentation systems.




4. Prepare Instrument Hook-up Drawings, Cable Schedules, Loop Diagrams and Instrument Layouts.




5. Coordinate with PLC, SCADA, DCS and control system teams for automation requirements.




6. Prepare technical specifications, material requisitions and technical bid evaluation documents.




7. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for instrument procurement and technical clarification.




8. Support site installation, inspection, testing, loop checking and commissioning activities.




9. Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards and applicable engineering codes.




10. Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Process and Project Engineering teams.
