Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with Consulting firms, EPC organizations, or Site Contractors is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review instrumentation system designs, technical specifications, and engineering documents.
• Develop and review P&IDs.
• Prepare detailed I/O summaries for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Prepare field instrument specifications, cable schedules, BOM, and related engineering deliverables.
• Review GFC drawings and ensure project requirements compliance.
• Prepare tender specifications, BOQs, and technical bid documents.
• Conduct technical bid evaluations and vendor recommendations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, project managers, clients, vendors, and site personnel.
• Evaluate and implement new instrumentation and automation technologies.
• Support site installation, testing, commissioning and startup activities.
• Prepare project reports (DPR), drawings and documentation, and maintain record control.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Engineer with experience in industrial project design and execution. The candidate will be responsible for instrumentation system engineering, preparation of technical specifications, BOQs, bid evaluation, design reviews, and coordination with clients, project teams, and site personnel. The role requires strong technical knowledge of instrumentation systems, automation controls, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Design

• Prepare and review instrumentation system designs, concept notes, technical specifications, and engineering documents.
• Develop and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Prepare detailed I/O summaries for mechanical and electrical systems.
• Prepare field instrument specifications, cable schedules, bill of materials (BOM), and related engineering deliverables.
• Review Good for Construction (GFC) drawings and ensure compliance with project requirements.

Tendering & Procurement

• Prepare tender specifications, BOQs, and technical bid documents.
• Conduct technical bid evaluations and provide recommendations for vendor selection.
• Support procurement activities by reviewing vendor documents and technical submittals.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, project managers, clients, vendors, and site personnel for design and execution activities.
• Participate in design review meetings and resolve technical issues.

Technology & Innovation

• Evaluate and recommend new instrumentation and automation technologies to improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Support implementation of modern control and communication systems.

Site Support & Commissioning

• Collaborate with contractors and stakeholders during installation, testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues to ensure smooth operation.
• Provide engineering support for site-related technical challenges.

Documentation

• Prepare detailed project reports (DPR), tender specifications, BOQs, schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Maintain complete engineering records and ensure document control compliance.
