Job summary

Buro Happold in Bengaluru, India, is seeking an experienced building services engineer with a strong HVAC background to lead design development from concept through tender. The role involves detailed mechanical design, REVIT documentation, and active client/site collaboration to achieve project objectives.

The ideal candidate will bring 8–12 years in building services, deep knowledge of Indian codes, and excellent communication and organizational skills. A relevant engineering degree is required.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in building services design engineering.
• Broad design knowledge from concept to tender using Indian codes.
• HVAC design experience is essential.

• Willingness to lead adoption of new analysis packages on projects.
• BEng or MEng in a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• Detailed design drawings with a specialisation in mechanical design - e.g. HVAC, etc.
• Prepare technical specifications and schedules and design development reports.
• Plan and manage REVIT documentation of design work.
• Keep senior design team members informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the BuroHappold and the client are achieved.
• Manage project finances, monitor scope, and ensure quality
• Plan and organise your workload to ensure that you are meeting clients expectations.
• Attending client, site and external design team meetings.

Preferred candidate profile

• 8-12 years' experience in building services design engineering;
• A broad design knowledge from Concept to Tender Designing - through working on a wide range of projects using Indian codes.
• Experience in HVAC Designing is a must
• Broad building design knowledge, from working on a wide range of projects
