Job summary

Talent Corner Hr Services in Bengaluru is seeking a skilled HVAC Design Engineer to undertake independent HVAC design, heat load calculations with HAP, and prepare design basis reports and tender documents for projects.

You will collaborate with the MEP team, draftsmen, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with NBC, NFPA, ASHRAE and ISHRAE standards, delivering handover documents and as-built layouts while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of professional experience in HVAC system design.
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members and mentor juniors.

Responsibilities

• Undertake independent HVAC design as per local and international standards.
• Perform heat load calculations using HAP software.
• Do HVAC calculations, pump head and external static pressure calculations.
• Apply NBC, NFPA, ASHRAE, ISHRAE and other codes.
• Perform HVAC project space planning, and schematic detailing.

Role & responsibilities

• Undertake independent HVAC design as per local and international standards.
• Heat load calculation using HAP software.
• HVAC Calculations, Pump head calculations and External Static Pressure calculations.
• Understand and apply NBC, NFPA, ASHRAE, ISHRAE and other local and international code.
• HVAC Project space planning, concept, schematic, detail designing.
• Preparation of Design Basis Report.
• Preparation of Tender documents, BOQ, measurement sheet etc.
• Assist the Draftsman to prepare the drawings for various stages of the project.
• Checking the HVAC/MEP coordination drawings prepared by the draftsman.
• Coordination with internal MEP team & drafting team.
• Coordination with Architect, Structural consultant, client & PMC.
• Coordination with suppliers.
• Realistically estimate pricing associated with projects within their area of expertise.
• Review & approval of technical submittals & shop drawings.
• Administration of HVAC project execution activities.
• Review and certification of Handing over documents and as built layouts.

• Must possess with 4-5 years of professional experience in HVAC system design.
• Should have flexible attitude, in an environment with frequently changing deadlines and can be relied on to meet deadlines.
• Should be committed to both their work and personal development, with a willingness to widen their experience and knowledge base.
• Must possess professional English language skills (written and verbal).
• Should be able to communicate clearly with team members.
• Should have knowledge of softwares such as AutoCAD, HAP.
• Should be able to work in a team and support, mentor and develop junior Deign Engineer.
• BE / B.Tech with 4-5 years of professional experience in HVAC system design.
