Job summary

Buro Happold in India (Thane) is seeking aSenior Building Services Design Engineer with HVAC expertise to lead detailed designs, prepare specs, and manage CAD documentation. You will collaborate with client teams, attend meetings, and help ensure project objectives are met, while guiding junior engineers and maintaining quality across designs.

The role requires strong knowledge of Indian standards, proficiency in AutoCAD, IES, and Hevacomp, plus solid Excel skills and the ability to work both in

Qualifications

• 6–12 years' experience in building services design engineering.
• Experience in HVAC designing is a must.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, IES and Hevacomp software.

Role & responsibilities

• Attending client, site and external design team meetings.

Preferred candidate profile

• 6-12 years' experience in building services design engineering;


• Experience in HVAC Designing is a must


• Ability to accept a high degree of responsibility in a team-based organisation, combined with ability to work independently.


• Working knowledge and understanding of Indian standards.


• Broad building design knowledge, from working on a wide range of projects.


• Excel skills (a detailed understanding including the use of macros).


• Although mechanically biased it is expected that you will have a good understanding of electrical concepts and their impact upon the overall project. Ideally also showing an awareness of other key design team members such as architects, structural and civil engineers.


• Knowledge of AutoCAD, IES, and Hevacomp software


• Bachelors degree or Masters degree in relevant subject.
