Job summary

Inclean Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior HVAC (MEP) Designer to develop and coordinate HVAC drawings and documentation for diverse projects. You will lead HVAC design efforts using AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, and related tools while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires hands-on expertise in heat load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, equipment selection, and design documentation, with a focus on quality and clash-free drawings for successful project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical/MEPHVAC engineering or related discipline.
• Strong HVAC design and MEP coordination experience across multiple project types.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit BIM is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed HVAC design drawings and MEP diagrams from project requirements.
• Prepare layouts for HVAC, ducts, piping, equipment, sections and schematics.
• Perform heat load, ventilation, duct and pipe sizing calculations; select equipment.
• Prepare BOQ, BOM, equipment schedules and material specs.
• Develop HVAC designs for AHU, FCU, VRF/VRV, Chiller, VAV, exhaust and fresh air systems.
• Coordinate HVAC with Electrical, Plumbing, Fire, Structural and Architectural teams.
• Produce coordinated MEP drawings and identify/reduce clashes before construction.
• Review consultant drawings, specs, tenders and project requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with ASHRAE, NBC, SMACNA and project standards.
• Review shop drawings and contractor submittals; provide technical feedback.
• Support site/project team during execution; attend coordination meetings.
• Incorporate client comments and issue revised drawings; maintain revision control.
• Coordinate with vendors for data, equipment selections and drawings.
• Guide junior designers and engineers; review their work.
• Support estimation, tendering, value engineering and design optimization as needed.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC (MEP) Designer to develop, coordinate, and review HVAC design drawings and engineering documentation for various projects, including commercial, industrial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, and other MEP applications. The candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in HVAC design, AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, system coordination, and project execution support.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed HVAC design and MEP drawings based on project requirements, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Prepare HVAC layouts, ducting layouts, piping layouts, equipment layouts, sections, details, and schematics.
• Perform and/or review heat load calculations, ventilation calculations, duct sizing, pipe sizing, and equipment selection.
• Prepare BOQ, BOM, equipment schedules, material specifications, and design documentation.
• Develop HVAC designs for AHU, FCU, VRF/VRV, Chiller, Package Units, Ventilation, Exhaust, Fresh Air and other HVAC systems.
• Coordinate HVAC designs with Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Structural and Architectural teams.
• Prepare coordinated MEP drawings and identify/reduce clashes before execution.
• Review consultant drawings, specifications, tender documents, and project requirements.
• Ensure drawings comply with relevant ASHRAE, NBC, SMACNA and project‑specific standards.
• Review shop drawings, contractor drawings, technical submittals, and material submissions.
• Provide technical support to the site/project team during execution.
• Attend design coordination meetings and resolve technical/design issues.
• Incorporate consultant/client comments and issue revised drawings.
• Conduct drawing quality checks before submission.
• Maintain proper revision control and project documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for technical data, equipment selections, and drawings.
• Guide junior designers and engineers and review their work.
• Support estimation, tendering, value engineering, and design optimization activities when required.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of HVAC system design and MEP coordination.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Good working knowledge of Revit MEP/BIM is preferred.
• Knowledge of HAP / TRACE / Duct Sizer or similar HVAC design software is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of ducting, chilled water piping, refrigerant piping, ventilation and equipment selection.
• Knowledge of heat load calculation and HVAC design calculations.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Knowledge of BOQ, BOM, specifications and technical documentation.
• Understanding of HVAC equipment such as AHU, FCU, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, VRF/VRV, Exhaust Fans and Fresh Air Units.
• Knowledge of clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks will be an advantage.

Education

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, MEP Engineering or a related discipline.
• Relevant professional certification in HVAC/MEP/BIM will be an added advantage.Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

The ideal candidate should be a hands‑on Senior HVAC/MEP Designer with strong knowledge of HVAC systems, excellent AutoCAD skills, preferably Revit/BIM experience, and the ability to independently handle design deliverables from concept/design development through construction and coordination.
