Heritage Madurai, Kochadai, Madurai, is seeking a hands-on Senior HR Generalist to lead the complete employee lifecycle for our hospitality property, with a focus on high-volume hotel hiring, payroll processing, and strict adherence to labor laws.

Ideal candidates will have 5–8 years in core HR, at least 3 years in hotel operations, an MBA/PGDM in HR or IR, and strong payroll/HRMS expertise along with up-to-date knowledge of Indian labor regulations.

Responsibilities

• Handle employee relations, grievances, and onboarding/offboarding

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on, high-energy Senior HR Generalist with deep operational expertise in the hospitality sector. You will lead the complete employee lifecycle for our property, with a specialized focus on high-volume hotel hiring, end-to-end payroll processing, and strict adherence to labor laws and statutory compliances.

Key Responsibilities

• Hospitality Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
  Drive end-to-end hiring for all departments (Front Office, F&B Service, Food Production, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Finance).
• Source talent specifically for hotel operations through job portals (Naukri, LinkedIn), employee referrals, hospitality institutes, and walk-in drives.
• Ensure rapid turnaround times for filling operational vacancies to maintain seamless hotel staffing levels.
• Payroll & Compensation Management:
  
• Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for full-time, part-time, and contract hotel staff.
• Handle complex attendance tracking, shift allowances, service charge calculations, incentive disbursements, and overtime computations.
• Resolve employee queries regarding salary, deductions, and tax declarations efficiently.
• Statutory Compliance & Labor Law Management:
  
• Ensure 100% compliance with local and national labor regulations applicable to the hospitality industry (e.g., PF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus Act, Professional Tax, and Minimum Wages).
• Maintain statutory registers, manage periodic audits, and liaise with government labor authorities.
• Employee Relations & Generalist Operations:
  
• Act as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution across shifts.
• Drive engagement initiatives, reward and recognition programs, and employee wellness activities tailored to hospitality staff.
• Manage onboarding, induction, exit formalities, and full & final (F&F) settlements.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Experience: 5 to 8 years of core HR Generalist experience, with at least 3+ years specifically working within a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
• Education: MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or Industrial Relations.
• Key Skills:
  
• Proven track record of high-volume hotel hiring across operational roles.
• Deep technical knowledge of payroll processing and HRMS software.
• Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory compliances.
