Job summary

Idam Natural Wellness is seeking a proactive Senior Executive Procurement (Packaging Procurement) to manage end-to-end packaging material sourcing for uninterrupted production. You'll lead supplier selection, negotiate terms, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely material availability in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes cost optimization, market analysis, and strong vendor relationship management, with exposure to packaging materials across FMCG categories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Commerce, or Business Administration.
• MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Operations will be an added advantage.
• Experience in FMCG/Beauty & Personal Care, Cosmetics, or Food & Beverage is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of packaging materials (bottles, jars, tubes, pumps, caps, cartons, labels, boxes, pouches, shrink films).
• Identify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers for competitive pricing and reliable supply.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and contracts with vendors.
• Raise POs and ensure timely order placement and material availability.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, and Finance teams for smooth procurement operations.
• Track supplier performance on quality, cost, delivery, and service levels.
• Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternate sourcing.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts or excess stock.
• Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery delays, and invoices.
• Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and MIS reports.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and company procedures.

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Executive Procurement (Packaging Procurement) to manage the end-to-end procurement of packaging materials. The ideal candidate should have experience in sourcing, vendor management, cost negotiation, inventory planning, and ensuring the timely availability of packaging materials for uninterrupted production. Preference will be given to candidates from the FMCG, Beauty & Personal Care, Cosmetics, Food & Beverage, or D2C industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of packaging materials such as bottles, jars, tubes, pumps, caps, cartons, labels, corrugated boxes, pouches, shrink films, and other primary & secondary packaging materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and reliable supply.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and contracts with vendors.
• Raise Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely order placement and material availability.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, and Finance teams to ensure smooth procurement operations.
• Track supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service levels.
• Conduct regular market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and alternate sourcing options.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
• Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery delays, shortages, and invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and MIS reports.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, quality standards, and company procedures.

Required Skills

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Good understanding of packaging materials and procurement processes.
• Knowledge of sourcing, RFQ/RFP, cost analysis, and contract management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, MIS Reporting).
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
