Aliaxis in Bengaluru, India seeks a Packaging Material Buyer to drive sourcing strategy for packaging materials, manage inventory across locations, and negotiate long-term contracts. The role requires SAP knowledge, strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration to optimize supply chain efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a BE Mechanical degree with 3–4 years of operations/sales experience in the FIBC sector, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel as required by the company.

Responsibilities

• Manage optimum inventory levels of packaging material at all locations
• Manage and finalize required quality of packaging material with QA dept
• Ensure no stock out of any packaging material at any site
• Resolve packaging related complaints from customers by appropriately taking up with suppliers
• Negotiate with Packaging suppliers and finalize long term contracts
• New vendor development
• Savings project in Packaging
• Sustainability related initiatives in packaging domain

The role of packaging material buyer involves significant team and cross functional interaction, developing sourcing strategy for packaging material, Risk analysis and mitigation planning, Strong negotiation skills, understanding of quality parameters in packaging material, etc. Should have strong analytical skills and should be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and optimize supply chain efficiency.
