Job summary

Shanthi Gears Limited in Coimbatore district seeks a Maintenance Engineer to plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for production machinery, mechanical equipment, and utility systems to maximize availability.

You will coordinate machine shifting, dismantling, reinstallation, alignment, and commissioning, perform reconditioning and refurbishment to boost reliability, troubleshoot faults, and drive safety and cost‑control initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery.
• Manage machine shifting, dismantling, reinstallation, alignment and commissioning of new machines, ensuring safe and timely execution.
• Execute machine reconditioning, overhauling and refurbishment activities to improve equipment performance, reliability, and service life.
• Troubleshoot recurring mechanical failures and implement root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Implement safety improvement initiatives, ensure compliance with maintenance procedures and safety standards and drive initiatives to achieve zero accidents.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives through spare parts optimization, repair and reuse, energy efficiency and maintenance cost control.
