Job summary

Navin Fluorine International in Gujarat seeks a Shift Mechanical Engineer to oversee the smooth operation, maintenance and reliability of mechanical equipment throughout the shift. This role focuses on minimizing downtime and ensuring safe, compliant production processes.

You will manage routine and breakdown maintenance, coordinate with production teams, supervise technicians, and drive permanent corrective actions through RCA to improve equipment health.

Responsibilities

• Monitor performance and condition of plant mechanical equipment during the shift.
• Ensure availability and reliability of production equipment, utilities, and supporting systems.
• Attend mechanical breakdowns and implement timely corrective actions.
• Coordinate with production teams for maintenance planning and execution.
• Supervise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Analyse recurring equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions through RCA.
• Monitor vibration, lubrication, alignment, and equipment health parameters.
• Lead and supervise technicians, fitters, and contract manpower during shifts.
• Allocate work assignments and monitor execution.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and statutory requirements.
• Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and shift reports.
• Update maintenance records in CMMS/SAP system.
