Job SummaryWe are looking for a proactive and technically sound Maintenance Engineer with 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing industries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preventive and breakdown maintenance of production equipment, minimizing machine downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring smooth plant operations. Experience in FMCG, cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, packaging, or process manufacturing industries will be preferred.Required SkillsStrong knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance.Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.Knowledge of PLC-based machines and automation systems will be an added advantage.Experience in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.Familiarity with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement practices.Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SAP PM or other maintenance management systems is preferred.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesPreventive & Breakdown MaintenanceExecute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of production and utility equipment.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime.Ensure timely restoration of machines to achieve production targets.Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment.Equipment & Plant MaintenanceMonitor the performance and health of production machinery and utilities.Coordinate installation, commissioning, and trial runs of new machines and equipment.Ensure proper upkeep of utilities such as air compressors, DG sets, pumps, HVAC systems, and water treatment systems (as applicable).Maintain machine history records and equipment maintenance logs.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve machine efficiency, reliability, and productivity.Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Support automation and process improvement initiatives to reduce maintenance costs and downtime.Recommend modifications and upgrades to improve equipment performance.Documentation & ComplianceMaintain maintenance records, checklists, and reports.Ensure compliance with safety regulations, GMP, and company maintenance standards.Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate with the Purchase team for timely procurement.Support internal and external audits related to engineering and maintenance.Cross-Functional CoordinationWork closely with Production, Quality, Stores, and Purchase teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.Train machine operators on basic maintenance practices and machine handling.Coordinate with external vendors for machine servicing and annual maintenance contracts (AMCs).
