Responsibilities

• Handle procurement of raw materials, chemicals, packing materials, and other items (domestic and imports).
• Identify and develop reliable suppliers; maintain vendor relationships.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions.
• Obtain quotations, compare offers, and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, Finance for timely material availability.
• Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and pending supplies.
• Evaluate vendor performance on quality, cost, and delivery.
• Maintain purchase records, MIS reports; explore cost reduction opportunities.
• Use AI tools and digital applications for market research and reporting.
• Perform other procurement-related activities as assigned; vendor audits.
• Extensive travelling for procurement domestically and internationally.

Job Description Sr. Executive Procurement

Department: Supply Chain Management (SCM)

Location: Mumbai Corporate Office. Malad West.

Experience: 35 Years

Industry: Pigment / Paint / Chemical Industry

Reporting To: Director SCM and Executive Director

Compensation: As per company norms and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

1. Educational Qualification

• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry or B.tech / B.E. in Chemical Engineering.


• Candidates with relevant procurement experience in the pigment or chemical industry will be preferred.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Handle procurement of raw materials, chemicals, packing materials, and other assigned items. Domestic and Imports.


• Identify and develop reliable suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships.


• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.


• Obtain quotations, compare offers, and ensure cost-effective purchasing.


• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Stores, Finance, and other departments to ensure timely material availability.


• Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and pending supplies.


• Evaluate vendor performance in terms of quality, cost, and timely delivery.


• Maintain purchase records, documentation, and MIS reports.


• Explore opportunities for cost reduction and procurement process improvement.


• Use AI tools and digital applications for market research, data analysis, reporting, and improving procurement efficiency.


• Perform other procurement-related activities as assigned by the management.

3. Required Skills
