Job summary

ETG World in Noida, UP seeks a procurement professional with 3–4 years of chemical sourcing experience. You will manage supplier relationships, oversee overseas imports, and drive cost-saving strategies.

Travel to supplier sites and exhibitions is expected, with collaboration across cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate holds a chemistry/chemical engineering degree (MBA SCM advantageous) and demonstrates strong negotiation, analytics, and English communication skills for global procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in chemistry or chemical engineering with preferred MBA in SCM.
• 3–4 years of experience in chemical procurement.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills; English proficiency.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and supplier management for chemicals, evaluating quality, cost, lead times and terms.
• Overseas procurement management with knowledge of imports, shipping, customs and export docs.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
• Process POs, ensure accuracy, sailing days and on-time delivery; follow up with suppliers.
• Willingness to travel for supplier visits and exhibitions; coordinate with overseas branches.
• Prepare reports on cost savings, future strategies, and supplier performance.

Sourcing and Supplier Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for chemicals, considering factors like quality, cost, reliability, lead times, Payment terms and other factors.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers, ensuring favourable payment terms and conditions.
• Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and conduct regular reviews.
• Able to develop new supplier/vendors as per requirements according to our SOP.
• Able to develop new products as per requirements according to our SOP.

Overseas procurement Management:

• Must have knowledge of chemical imports
• Must be aware about Shipping lines process, custom clearance, import documentations/process, payment modes etc.
• Prior experience in overseas/export sales or procurement within the chemical industry, with exposure to international customers, suppliers, and global markets.
• Hands-on experience in managing export processes for chemicals, including international documentation, shipping/logistics coordination, customs requirements, payment terms, and compliance with applicable export regulations.

Procurement Strategy:

• Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies for chemicals, aligning with the company's overall objectives.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the chemical market.
• Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies.

Order Management:

• Checking price quotations from regular and non-regular supplier.
• Process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, sailing days and timely delivery of materials.
• Follow ups with supplier for scheduling, contract terms, and other time to time activities.
• Expedite orders as necessary to meet buyers schedules.

Travelling/Visits:

• Willing to travel

• Exhibitions visit friendly

Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare reports and analyses on cost savings, Future Strategies and plannings, and other reports required by management time to time.
• Supplier’s evaluation on the basis of supply time, delivery time etc time to time.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with internal overseas branch offices for requirements, product’s quality, requirements, to ensure smooth procurement processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field, MBA in supply chain management will give an advantage.
• Experience in chemical procurement min 3-4 years.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Should be proficient in English speaking, reading and writing.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft office, -excel, word etc.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of supply chain dynamics and market trends.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
