Qualifications

• 25 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in commerce, tech, or related fields.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, data analysis, charting).
• ERP/procurement software experience (SAP, Oracle, Tally) desirable.
• Knowledge of vendor management, RFQ, PO processing, and procurement best practices.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and documentation skills.
• Attention to detail, ownership mentality, and follow-up discipline.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors; develop and maintain alternate suppliers
• Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) with accuracy and timeliness
• Conduct RFQ and quotation comparison; negotiate favorable prices and payment terms
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure on-time delivery; follow up on pending orders
• Handle quality discrepancies, shortages, rejections, and returns efficiently
• Maintain procurement records, vendor data, and documentation
• Coordinate with production, stores, warehouse, and accounts departments for inventory planning
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and process improvements
• Prepare reports on purchase activities, vendor performance, and cost analysis
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
