Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced QA Automation engineer in Hyderabad to design, develop and maintain automated test suites across UI, service, and data layers. You will collaborate with developers to ensure on-time delivery with high quality, and guide testing activities within an Agile team.

The role requires 4–6 years in software testing or development, strong automation skills (Selenium, Appium) and experience with REST/SOAP, SQL, and performance testing.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in software testing or development.
• Experience testing or automating Salesforce components/add-ons and Microsoft Office add-ins.
• Programming experience using Python, C#, Java or other languages.
• Experience designing and developing automated tests using tools such as Selenium and Appium across UI, service and data layers.
• Root cause analysis experience.
• Experience identifying automatable test cases and working with developers to build automation/performance-friendly code.
• Experience refactoring and extending test automation/performance frameworks and suites.
• Experience with SOAP and REST services and understanding of SOA architecture.
• Exposure to distributed source control systems such as Git.
• Exposure to SQL/PL-SQL, SQL queries, stored procedures and RDBMS.
• Experience with test data management and mapping automated test code coverage.
• Experience developing test plans and test cases, exploratory testing, and defect reports.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as HP LoadRunner/Performance Center/StormRunner and JMeter.
• Ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong communication skills and ability to deliver clear, concise documentation and presentations.
• Bachelor's or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent is preferred.
• BDD, Agile, CI/DevOps, rolling deployment/upgrade models, AWS/Azure, microservices, containers and Docker are a plus.

• Participate in requirements, architecture and design reviews with emphasis on test automation and performance strategy.
• Participate in functional, system and regression testing.
• Capture quality assurance data and metrics and provide insights and conclusions.
• Estimate and perform risk analysis for quality delivery.
