Job summary

Infosys is seeking an automation tester to design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Selenium with Java for web applications. You will build scalable frameworks, maintain regression suites, and optimize test execution within CI pipelines.

Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA peers to enhance test coverage, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute to release readiness with clear quality metrics.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience in software testing/quality engineering.
• 1–13 years of experience in Automation Testing with strong hands-on expertise in Selenium and Java.
• Solid understanding of test design techniques, SDLC/STLC, and defect lifecycle management.
• Experience creating maintainable automated test suites and ensuring consistent regression coverage.
• Strong debugging skills and ability to troubleshoot automation failures and application issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium with Java for web application testing.
• Build and enhance scalable automation frameworks (e.g., Page Object Model, reusable utilities, reporting).
• Develop and maintain regression, smoke, and sanity automation suites aligned with release goals.
• Ensure test automation is stable, maintainable, and optimized for execution time and reliability.
• Analyze requirements and user stories to create test scenarios, test cases, and automation coverage plans.
• Perform functional, integration, and end-to-end validation with a strong focus on defect prevention.
• Integrate automated tests into CI pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, provide quality status updates, and contribute to release readiness decisions.
• Maintain clear test documentation, execution reports, and actionable quality metrics for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation & Framework Development

Minimum Qualifications:
