Job summary

Everestek Technosoft Solutions is seeking an Experienced Test Automation Engineer with 5+ years of expertise in Software Quality Engineering, Automation Testing, and Enterprise Application Testing. You will design scalable automation frameworks, develop reusable test assets, and ensure high-quality software releases across the SDLC.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive test strategy, continuous quality improvement, and leverage AI-powered tools to enhance testing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, QA, and Automation across enterprise apps.
• Strong proficiency in Java and OOP; scalable automation frameworks.
• Hands-on UI automation with Selenium/Playwright and testing frameworks such as JUnit and TestNG.
• API automation and REST API testing using Postman and RestAssured.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, Git.
• Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, Linux/Unix environments and cloud basics (AWS).
• Strong debugging and problem-solving, maintainable automation code.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain reusable automated test frameworks, components and regression suites following industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain UI automation using Selenium, Playwright or similar frameworks.
• Develop API automation using Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI or similar tools.
• Review requirements and designs to define comprehensive test strategies and test cases.
• Identify quality risks and coverage gaps; execute functional, integration, regression, negative and end-to-end testing.
• Test AI-powered features for accuracy and reliability across edge cases.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and maintain test artifacts.
• Produce quality metrics including test coverage, defect reports, and release readiness.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps and project teams to ensure quality throughout SDLC.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.

Role & responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain reusable automated test frameworks, components and


• regression suites following industry best practices.


• Develop and maintain UI automation using Selenium, Playwright or similar frameworks.


• Develop API automation using Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI or similar tools.


• Review business requirements, technical specifications and solution designs to define


• comprehensive test strategies and test cases.


• Identify quality risks, testability concerns and areas requiring additional test coverage.


• Execute functional, integration, regression, negative, exploratory and end-to-end testing.


• Test AI-powered features for functional accuracy, reliability, edge cases, response


• consistency and failure handling.


• Troubleshoot defects, perform root cause analysis and recommend appropriate solutions


• or workarounds.


• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar


• tools.


• Produce quality metrics including test coverage, defect reports, release readiness and

• Collaborate closely with development, DevOps and project teams to ensure quality


• throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.


• Support release validation, regression testing and production defect verification.


• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation and release planning.


• Review automation code, mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best

• Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing processes and overall engineering

• Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor or similar tools to improve engineering productivity.

Required Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing, Test Automation, and Quality Engineering across enterprise applications, with exposure to the complete SDLC.


• Strong proficiency in Java, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and developing scalable, reusable automation frameworks.


• Hands-on experience with UI automation using Selenium, Playwright, and testing frameworks such as Cucumber, JUnit, and TestNG.


• Expertise in API automation and REST API testing using Postman, RestAssured, and similar tools.


• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Git, and modern version control practices.


• Good knowledge of SQL, relational databases, basic NoSQL concepts, Linux/Unix/Windows environments, and exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.


• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, root cause analysis, and ability to write clean, maintainable, and reusable automation code.


• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams with excellent analytical, estimation, problem-solving, ownership, and communication skills. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Good to have

• Performance testing using JMeter, Gatling or k6.


• Experience with SonarQube or other code quality tools.


• Docker and Kubernetes exposure.


• JavaScript, HTML, CSS or frontend technology knowledge.


• Experience deploying applications in cloud environments.


• Experience testing enterprise SaaS products.


• Insurance or Financial Services domain experience.


• Experience leading automation initiatives or mentoring junior engineers.
