Job summary

VRV Asia Pacific Pvt. Ltd, a CHART Industries company, is seeking a talented Production/Manufacturing Engineer to lead monthly production planning and manage production staff at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.

The candidate should have BE/B.Tech in Mechanical with 5 years in Cryogenic/Pressure Vessels or capital goods manufacturing, and strong knowledge of TIG/MIG/SAW welding, ASME codes, and Lean/Six Sigma. You will coordinate with procurement, quality and planning, ensure safety, and drive

Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 years of experience in Cryogenic / Pressure Vessels / Oil & Gas / Boilers or capital goods manufacturing & fabrication.
• Should have good knowledge in welding processes (TIG, MIG & SAW), testing procedures & ASME codes.
• Strong organisational & communication skills.
• People management experience is required.
• Hard working and result oriented.

Responsibilities

• Plan the production to achieve monthly targets and align with project schedules.
• Manage production staff and provide technical support & guidelines related to production processes.
• Ensure timely achievement of production targets within agreed time and cost parameters.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Statutory Regulations, Quality Management Systems & IMS procedures.
• Apply LEAN/Six Sigma tools to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate with procurement, quality, design and planning to ensure smooth workflow.
• Create and maintain safe working environment and good housekeeping in the workshop.
• Develop preventive and corrective actions with the quality representative to address non-conformities.
• Contribute to new product development and capacity analysis.

Your Experience Should Be...

BE / B. Tech (Mech.) with 5 years of experience in Cryogenic / Pressure Vessels / Oil & Gas / Boilers industry or any capital goods manufacturing & fabrication industry.

Should have good knowledge in welding process (TIG,MIG & SAW), testing procedures & ASME codes

Should have good organizational & communication skills

Should have good people management skills

What Will You Do?

Plan the production in order to execute the monthly production target and Project Schedule.

Manage the production employees and give technical support & guidelines related to the production processes.

Ensure timely accomplishment of production targets within the time frame and cost parameters mutually agreed with the Management

Compliance to Safety, Statutory Regulations, Quality Management Systems & IMS Procedures

To create and follow all necessary indicators to evaluate the manufacturing process for continuous improvement practice such as LEAN management and SIX Sigma.

Reduce the rework and rejection by applying the various tools & process

To coordinate with all other supporting departments such as procurement, quality control & assurance, Design, and Planning to ensure smooth production work flow.

Ensure & create safe working environment & good housekeeping in the workshop.

Define preventive and corrective actions along with the quality representative in the processes inherent to the Quality Assurance System, and removal of non-conformities.

Participate in the development of new products, conducting pertinent studies, analyzing the production capacity and other relevant.
