Job summary

Linde India Limited in Kolkata seeks a Senior Engineer for Planning & Scheduling to lead project controls for EPC and capital projects, ensuring delivery within cost and schedule baselines.

Candidate should have a Bachelor's in Engineering and 6–12 years in planning, scheduling, and project controls; SAP knowledge is a plus. This is an on-site, permanent role with growth opportunities. The role requires cross-functional coordination and timely reporting to support informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 6–12 years of relevant experience in project planning, scheduling, and project controls.
• SAP knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage baseline project schedules across all phases and milestones.
• Monitor progress, identify variances, track metrics, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform critical path analysis and assess schedule risks and delays.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams.
• Plan and optimize manpower, equipment, and materials to meet milestones.
• Update schedules and manage scope changes with accurate planning records.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports, forecasts, and dashboards.

Making an impact. What will you do?

• In this role, you will develop, maintain, and manage detailed baseline project schedules covering all phases, milestones, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with project objectives and execution plans
• Additionally, you will monitor project progress against approved schedules, identify variances, track performance metrics, and implement timely corrective actions to achieve planned targets
• Furthermore, you will perform critical path analysis, evaluate schedule risks and delays, assess their impact on project timelines, and recommend effective recovery and mitigation strategies
• Meanwhile, you will coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution, schedule integration, and effective communication across all project functions
• Consequently, you will plan and optimize the utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to support project requirements and milestone achievement
• Moreover, you will manage schedule updates and scope changes, evaluate their impact on project timelines and deliverables, and maintain accurate planning records in compliance with organizational standards and best practices
• Finally, you will prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, forecasts, dashboards, and performance updates while supporting project controls and cost management activities to ensure successful project delivery

• You must have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, along with 6 to 12 years of relevant experience in project planning, scheduling, and project controls
• SAP knowledge is preferred
