Job summary

Linde India Limited | Operations is seeking a Senior Engineer Operations & Maintenance for the PGP Ops at Mundra, Gujarat. This on-site role emphasizes safety, reliability, and continuous product supply through active field management and coordination with maintenance teams.

You will inspect pumps, reformer components and monitor thermal conditions, updating records and ensuring rigorous shutdown and handover procedures, with a strong focus on 5S and safe operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering with 4–6 years of experience in gas or hydrogen units.
• Experience in safety and reliability of industrial plants is expected.

Responsibilities

• Participating in daily field routine jobs; inspecting pumps, compressors, fans, reformer components; reporting abnormalities to the PO/SIC and Panel Engineer; updating the EAM book and CR360.
• Conduct thermography of cold collectors to monitor hotspots; monitor tube skin temperatures of reformer tubes; inspect burner flame patterns; maintain inspection records; take corrective actions during emergencies.
• Coordinate field maintenance activities; identify job hazards; carry out purging; ensure proper LOTO before HWP issuance.
• Ensure safe handover of pumps, compressors and fans to maintenance; carry out changeovers and trial runs; maintain safety of personnel and equipment.
• Perform daily shift rota inspections; maintain records for LO/LC, CSO/CSC, safety devices and other field equipment.
• Collect process samples; send to IOCL QC lab; monitor BFW dosing system; maintain chemical inventories for reliable operation.
• Implement 5S and other management practices to improve productivity and safety.

Making an impact. What will you do?

• In this role, you will be responsible for participating in daily field routine jobs, inspecting pumps, compressors, fans, reformer components, and identifying and reporting abnormalities such as leakage, abnormal sounds, or vibrations to the PO/SIC and Panel Engineer, while updating the EAM book and CR360.
• Subsequently, you will conduct thermography of cold collectors to monitor hotspots, monitor tube skin temperatures of reformer tubes, inspect reformer burner flame patterns, maintain inspection records, and take immediate corrective actions during emergency conditions.
• Furthermore, you will coordinate field maintenance activities with maintenance personnel, identify job-related hazards, carry out purging where required, mark the relevant lines/equipment on P&IDs, and ensure proper LOTO implementation following zero-energy verification before HWP issuance.
• Additionally, you will be responsible for the safe handover of pumps, compressors, and fans to maintenance, taking equipment into service, carrying out changeover and trial-run activities, and ensuring the safety and security of self, colleagues, and plant equipment.
• Moreover, you will perform daily shift Rota inspections and maintain records for LO/LC, CSO/CSC, safety-related devices, wind shocks, SCBA/escape packs, operational instruments, hazardous waste, and other critical field equipment.
• Meanwhile, you will collect process samples and send them to the IOCL Q.C. laboratory for testing, maintain adequate chemical inventories, and monitor and maintain the BFW chemical dosing system to ensure reliable and efficient plant operation.
• Finally, you will implement management practices such as 5S to improve workplace productivity, optimize resource utilization, reduce wastage, and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient operating environment.

• You have a diploma Engineer in Instrumentation Engineering with four to six (4-6) years' experience with experience in gas or hydrogen unit
