Job summary

Thaai Casting Limited in India is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to operate advanced CNC equipment and manufacture precision components per drawings and process instructions.

You will set up tools, inspect dimensions with gauges, monitor performance, and maintain 5S and safety while coordinating with Quality, Production, and Maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 2-8+ years of CNC operation experience in precision manufacturing
• Ability to read drawings and understand GD&T preferred
• Knowledge of cutting tools, workholding, coolant management, and measuring instruments
• Basic understanding of CNC controls and offset management
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts and handle heavy precision components

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines per approved process parameters and work instructions.
• Load and unload workpieces using appropriate fixtures.
• Perform tool offset adjustments and replace worn cutting tools.
• Verify component dimensions using measuring instruments (verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators).
• Ensure components meet drawings, tolerances, and surface finish requirements.
• Record production, inspection, and machine data accurately.
• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities or quality issues promptly.
• Maintain 5S standards and assist preventive maintenance activities.
• Adhere to safety procedures, PPE, and company policies.
• Coordinate with Quality, Production, and Maintenance teams to achieve targets.
• Minimize scrap and rework through proper process adherence.

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating advanced CNC machining equipment to manufacture precision components in accordance with engineering drawings, process instructions, and quality standards. The role involves machine setup support, tool handling, process monitoring, dimensional inspection, and ensuring safe and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC machines as per approved process parameters and work instructions.
• Load and unload workpieces using appropriate lifting devices and fixtures.
• Perform tool offset adjustments and replace worn cutting tools as required.
• Verify component dimensions using measuring instruments such as verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and gauges.
• Ensure components meet drawing specifications, tolerances, and surface finish requirements.
• Record production, inspection, and machine data accurately.
• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities, alarms, or quality issues promptly.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness following 5S standards.
• Follow preventive maintenance checklists and support maintenance activities when required.
• Adhere to all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.

• Minimize scrap and rework through proper process adherence and continuous monitoring.
