Job description

Roles and responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and complete equipment using AutoCAD, CATIA V5, and SolidWorks.
• Handle end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept design to production release.
• Prepare and review Part Design, Assembly Models, and Detailed Engineering Drawings.
• Develop manufacturing drawings for machined, fabricated, and sheet metal components.
• Ensure all designs meet customer specifications, industry standards, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Create and review BOM (Bill of Materials) and ensure accuracy for production planning.
• Perform basic engineering calculations related to strength, load, fitment, and material selection.
• Work closely with production, quality, and procurement teams for design validation and implementation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and drafting team.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for design feasibility and improvement suggestions.
• Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP) especially in food equipment design.
• Review and approve engineering drawings before release for manufacturing.
