Job summary

Microcon Machine Tech is seeking a mechanical design engineer to create 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks, AutoCAD and CATIA. You will design mechanical systems within budget and timelines, reporting to senior engineers on project status.

You will perform tests to improve components, troubleshoot issues, and stay updated with the latest mechanical design trends. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience as a mechanical design engineer or machine designer.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD and CATIA.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings and 3D modelling.

• Perform regular tests and experiments to determine how to better improve a component
• Troubleshoot problems and devise solutions to resolve them
• Research and keep up with the dynamic technology and trends in the mechanical design spectrum

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
• Prior experience working as a mechanical design engineer or machine designer
• Experience working with tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD and CATIA
• Knowledge in dealing with engineering drawings and 3D modelling
