Job summary

Step Techno Solutions is seeking a skilled Draftsman to prepare 2D and 3D engineering drawings according to project needs. You will design PP/PPH tanks, ducting systems, scrubbers, industrial equipment and fabrication components.

You will generate GA and fabrication drawings, layouts and BOMs, review specifications, and coordinate with Production, Estimation, Purchase and QC teams. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD is essential; SolidWorks is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AutoCAD; SolidWorks is a plus.
• Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D & 3D engineering drawings as per project requirements.

• Prepare GA drawings, fabrication drawings, layouts and BOMs.

• Make design modifications based on production/site requirements.
• Ensure drawings meet standards and specifications.
• Prepare material specifications and assist Purchase with technical requirements.
• Resolve fabrication issues in coordination with Production.
• Maintain records of drawings, revisions and technical documents.
• Support cost optimization and design improvement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• Good knowledge of AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of PP/PPH materials, tanks, ducting and industrial equipment is preferred.
• Good understanding of dimensions, tolerances, BOM and material specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
