Job summary

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals is seeking an EHS professional to drive global safety program implementation at the Nashik plant. The role focuses on training, inspections, and compliance across departments to ensure safe operations and 100% legal adherence.

Responsibilities include conducting safety drills, incident investigations, CAPA implementation, and maintaining ISO/OHSAS standards, with regular EHS MIS reporting to HO.

Responsibilities

• Drive implementation of Global Safety Programs and achieve target scores for the year
• Organize & impart training to employees & Contract workers on EHS and enhance EHS awareness
• Carry out EHS inspection of plant equipment, premises and people to observe unsafe acts and conditions, co-ordination with the concern departments for effective closure
• Ensure the installation, maintain & operation of Fire detection & firefighting equipments with documentation
• Ensure 100% EHS legal Compliance pertaining at all time
• Ensure availability of proper personal protective equipments and enforce the usage across departments
• Maintain ISO & achieve OHSAS standard
• Celebrate National/ International Safety Day / Week & World Environment Day/ Week
• Coordinate with Concern Dept. for generation & Storage of hazardous waste & process waste
• Conduct the Mock drills and ensure efficient evacuation
• Promptly report EHS incidents like Near Miss, Minor and Major injuries etc. investigate, identify root cause and ensure implementation of CAPA
• Preparation and submission of EHS MIS reports to HO after review at the plant
• Support in project activity for EHS related issues
• Review EHS aspect before approving any Change Control"
