Job description

RESPONSIBILITY:

1. To Conduct EHS training programs as per the approved training plan and maintain training records.
2. Coordinate Safety Committee meetings, prepare Minutes of Meeting (MOM), and track closure of action items.
3. Actively participate in Safety Committee activities and promote a positive safety culture across the organization.
4. Support and ensure timely completion of monthly EHS compliance activities, particularly in the absence of the EHS Lead.
5. Coordinate with internal and external interested parties on EHS compliance requirements and related communications.
6. Develop, implement, and periodically review Emergency Response Plans; organize and evaluate emergency mock drills.
7. Plan, coordinate, and conduct workplace safety inspections, audits, and compliance assessments.
8. Ensure the availability, operational readiness, and periodic inspection of firefighting systems, emergency equipment, and first-aid/medical facilities.
9. Review and update Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA) and Environmental Aspect & Impact Assessments.
10. Provide technical guidance and support to all departments on Environment, Health, and Safety requirements and best practices.
11. Monitor and audit the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system to ensure compliance with established procedures.
12. Coordinate with employees, Safety Committee members, occupational health professionals, and canteen committee members to address health and welfare concerns.
13. Ensure contractors and third-party personnel comply with site EHS requirements and safe work practices.
14. Conduct EHS induction training for new employees, contractors, visitors, and other personnel as required.
15. Participate in the investigation of incidents, accidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions, and ensure implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
16. Support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
17. Prepare and maintain EHS reports, records, statistics, and documentation as required.
