Job summary

Dravin Engineering is seeking a senior mechanical design engineer to provide drafting/modeling support for projects and product activities. You will design and detail mechanical systems, create 3D models in SolidWorks, and check drawings for manufacturing feasibility.

Role involves working with global teams, ensuring specifications are met, performing calculations, and supporting product testing and development of new designs.

MAIN PURPOSE/FUNCTION OF JOB:

Provide design and drafting/modeling support for projects and product related activities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conceptual design of mechanical systems and components based on design specifications
• Detailed engineering design of new products and redesign of existing products
• 3D Solid models/manufacturing drawing creation using Solidworks tool.
• Checking the models/drawings created by self
• Work with engineering team to develop new products and designs.
• Review and verify conceptual and detailed engineering drawings for fit, form, function and manufacturability and ensure design meets specification
• Perform basic engineering calculations
• Take part in product testing
• Work with Project Engineers at Customer locations (USA, UK, Brazil etc.) to define and develop product specifications and performance requirements
• Preparation of Assembly/Installation/Pressure Testing/SIT/Load Test Procedures/guidelines
• Complete the assigned tasks in the given schedule
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Maintain an accurate record of the work performed in company timesheet regularly
• Check other designers /drafters models / drawings

Desired Candidate Profile

QUALIFICATION & Minimum Qualification: Diploma/BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 8-10 years of practical design experience in Engineering /Design / R & D / Product Development environment for Subsea Flowline related Equipment (PLET, PLEM, Jumpers, ILT, ILS, Flowline Connectors, Pig Launchers / Receivers, Clamps, Cluster Manifolds, End fittings, Goosenecks, Mudmats, Piles, X Mas Trees and BOPs)
• Manufacturing experience with an emphasis on design for manufacturability is desirable.
• Knowledge of GD&T and Drafting standards is essential to the Job
• Candidates with 12-15 years relevant experience will be considered for Lead Designer position

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• Should be highly proficient with AutoCad and Solid Works (Part, Assembly, Weldment, Drawings modules and other modules), PDM tool preferably Solidworks PDM
• Should have knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
• Should have knowledge of manufacturing process including welding and symbols
