Job summary

Parveen Industries in Thane, Maharashtra, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead new product development, drafting, and design documentation, ensuring ISO and API standards compliance. You will collaborate with marketing, tender, and manufacturing teams to translate requirements into manufacturable designs.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 25 years of relevant design experience in manufacturing/engineering, with added advantage for oil & gas equipment

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Diploma holders with strong experience may be considered).
• 25 years of relevant design experience in manufacturing/engineering industry.
• Experience in oil & gas equipment or heavy engineering products will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• New Product Development: Conceptualize and design new products in alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.
• Drafting & Assembly: Prepare detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and assembly layouts using CAD software.
• Design Package Preparation: Develop design documentation including BOMs, fabrication drawings, and assembly instructions.
• Support to Marketing & Tender Department: Provide technical inputs, drawings, and product specifications for tenders and client queries.
• Manufacturing & Assembly Support: Coordinate with production for design clarifications and improvements; conduct design reviews.
• Documentation & Compliance: Prepare design documentation per ISO and API standards and ensure regulatory compliance.

Job description

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. New Product Development
   • Conceptualize and design new products in alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.
     
   • Conduct feasibility studies, material selection, and cost estimation for new designs.
     
2. Drafting & Assembly
   • Prepare detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and assembly layouts using CAD software.
     
   • Ensure design accuracy, manufacturability, and ease of assembly.
     
3. Design Package Preparation
   • Develop complete design documentation, including BOM (Bill of Materials), fabrication drawings, and assembly instructions.
     
   • Maintain version control and ensure timely release of design packages.
     
4. Support to Marketing & Tender Department
   • Provide technical inputs, drawings, and product specifications for tenders, proposals, and client queries.
     
   • Assist in preparing design-related presentations and datasheets.
     
5. Manufacturing & Assembly Support
   • Coordinate with the production team for design clarifications and improvements during manufacturing and assembly stages.
     
   • Conduct design reviews to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth production flow.
     
6. Documentation & Compliance
   • Prepare and maintain design documentation as per ISO and API standards.
     
   • Ensure all design processes adhere to quality and regulatory requirements.
