Job summary

Dover is seeking a Design Engineer in Bangalore to handle 3D modelling, drafting, and documentation for piping systems and welded assemblies. You will work with Solidworks, PLM/Vault, and BOM creation while applying GD&T and ASME standards.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, BE degree, and exposure to manufacturing processes such as welding, brazing, and casting. Knowledge of ECN/ECO and data management is essential.

Qualifications

• 3D modelling and drafting using Solidworks and product documentation in PLM/Vault.
• Knowledge of ESR/ECN/ECO activities, and GD&T.
• Exposure to welding, brazing, casting and conventional machining.
• Statistical tolerance analysis and design documentation.

Responsibilities

• 3D modelling and drafting of piping systems and weld/brass assemblies.
• Prepare BOMs and manage data in PLM/Vault/ERP systems.
• Support ECN/ECO activities and product change management.
• Apply GD&T and ASME standards in design documentation.
• Work with large assembly models and FEA basics as needed.
• Familiarity with carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum materials.

Position: Design Engineer

Experience: 3-5 Years

Education: B.E

Location: Bangalore

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Understanding of ECN/ECO activities and the workflow involved in completion. Good
• experience in Solidworks, AutoCAD, Solidworks PDM. Creation of BOM in
• Dataworks/Oracle.
• 3D modeling/drafting of piping systems and welded & brazed assemblies. Familiar with
• piping, pipe fittings, flanges, pipe schedules. Familiar with tube, tube fittings, & structural
• materials
• Part design knowledge Casting, machined, plastic, gaskets. Knowledge of GD&T
• Work with big assembly models, product change management, VAVE.
• Familiar with material types and characteristics – especially carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum
• Finite Element analysis (FEA) basics.
• ASME Standards. (Section VIII, B16, B31, Y14.5)
• Knowledge about standard components L angle/ C bar / Flat bars/I sections for structural fabrication.

Must have skills:

• 3D modelling and drafting using Solidworks and product documentation in PLM/Vault
