RHIA in Gurgaon, India is seeking a Senior Data Engineer specializing in Data Integration to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest and unify diverse hospitality data sources.

Based in our Gurgaon development center, you will lead technical initiatives, partner with data scientists and product teams, and help shape our data platform architecture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer in production pipelines.
• Strong Python and SQL for data processing and transformation.
• Hands-on with modern data stack tools and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, reliable, and performant data pipelines for real-time and batch processing.
• Architect and implement robust data integration solutions from diverse sources (PMS, CRM, F&B).
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency via validation, monitoring, and alerting frameworks.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Product teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Optimize and tune data pipelines and database performance for large-scale data workloads.
• Contribute to evolution of data architecture and data modeling practices.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation for data processes and systems.

Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer specializing in Data Integration, you will design, build, and maintain the robust data pipelines that ingest, transform, and unify diverse hospitality data sources, providing our clients with the complete visibility they need.Based in our Gurgaon development center, you will be a key technical leader, tackling complex integration challenges and shaping the core architecture of our data platform. Your work will directly empower hoteliers with real-time intelligence and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, reliable, and performant data pipelines for real-time and batch processing.
• Architect and implement robust data integration solutions from a wide variety of sources, including Property Management Systems (PMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, and point-of-sale (F&B) systems.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across the platform by implementing validation, monitoring, and alerting frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Product teams to understand data requirements and deliver cohesive solutions.
• Optimize and tune data pipelines and database performance for large-scale data workloads.
• Contribute to the evolution of our data architecture, advocating for best practices in data modeling, warehousing, and engineering.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation for data processes and systems.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers within the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, with a proven track record in building and maintaining data pipelines in a production environment.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with deep experience in using them for data processing and transformation.
• Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with specific services like AWS Glue, Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar orchestration/ETL tools is essential.
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles (star/snowflake schemas), data warehousing concepts, and data lake architectures.
• Experience working with streaming data technologies (e.g., Apache Kafka, Kinesis, Spark Streaming) and REST APIs.
• Familiarity with data quality and observability concepts and tooling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in the hospitality, travel, or related industry, with knowledge of common systems (e.g., Opera, Protel, Sabre).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical projects.
