Qualifications

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Senior Backend Engineer to join our core platform team in Gurgaon. You will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining the high-performance data unification and analytics engine that is central to our product. In this senior role, you will tackle complex architectural challenges, ensure system reliability, and mentor other engineers, contributing directly to our mission of bringing seamless connectivity to global hospitality operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure backend services and APIs in a cloud-native environment.
• Architect and build robust data pipelines to ingest, process, and unify data from diverse hotel systems (e.g., PMS, CRM, F&B).
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and data scientists to define technical requirements and deliver end-to-end features.
• Lead technical discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, and advocate for engineering best practices.
• Optimize system performance, database queries, and application infrastructure for high-volume, real-time data processing.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with appropriate tests.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and help mentor other team members.
• Proactively identify technical debt and system improvements, driving long-term platform health.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional backend software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in one or more modern backend languages (e.g., Go, Java, Python, Node.js).
• Proven experience in designing and integrating with RESTful/gRPC APIs and working with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies like Docker.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering high-quality, reliable software.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the hospitality technology sector or with system integrations (PMS, CRM, etc.).
• Familiarity with real-time data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Kafka, Flink).
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
