Job summary

CCS technologies in Kerala, India seeks an experienced SAP HCM consultant to lead design and configuration of HR master data structures, Infotypes, payroll schemas, and time management for end-to-end lifecycle support. You will shape organisational structures, workflows, and security profiles while ensuring accurate payroll processing across statutory compliances.

Qualifications

• 5+ years SAP HCM functional experience across at least 2 full-cycle implementations or major rollout projects.
• Full mastery of Personnel Area, Subarea, Employee Group/Subgroup, Pay Scale, and Infotype knowledge.
• Experience configuring Personnel Actions, Dynamic Actions, and HR workflows, with structural and role-based authorisations.
• Integration experience with Organisational Management (OM) and ESS/MSS portals.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on SAP Payroll configuration, including schema and PCR development.
• Deep knowledge of Indian statutory payroll - PF, ESI, PT, Income Tax, TDS, Gratuity, and Bonus Act.
• Strong Time Management configuration experience – work schedules, attendance types, counting rules, quota management, and Time Evaluation.
• Experience with S/4HANA migration and payslip design/configuration using SmartForms or SAP Adobe Forms.

Job description

What you can expect from the job

• Lead design and configuration of HR master data structures Personnel Areas, Subareas, Employee Groups/Subgroups, and organisational assignments.
• Configure Infotypes across the employee lifecycle (hiring, transfers, promotions, separations, rehires) and design Personnel Actions and Dynamic Actions.
• Configure enterprise/HR organisational structure and integrate PA with Organisational Management (position management, reporting structure, vacancy management).
• Manage HR data security, including authorisation profiles and structural authorisations for sensitive data access.
• Design and configure end-to-end payroll processes - schema, PCRs (Personnel Calculation Rules), wage type catalogues, and payroll cycle management.
• Implement statutory compliance for Indian payroll (PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Income Tax/TDS, Gratuity, Labour Welfare Fund) and manage off-cycle and retroactive payroll runs.
• Configure Bank Transfer (DME) processes and integrate payroll with FI/CO (symbolic accounts, posting documents, reconciliation); troubleshoot payroll errors and schema issues.
• Design and configure Time Management - work schedules, holiday calendars, absence/attendance types, counting rules, and quota generation.
• Set up Time Evaluation (schema TM00/TM04), configure positive/negative time recording, and implement CATS for project-based time recording.
• Lead requirements workshops and blueprint sessions; produce functional design specs, configuration workbooks, test scripts, and training materials.
• Manage workstreams through go-live and hypercare, support UAT and cutover activities, and mentor junior HCM consultants.

Must-have skills/ characteristics (5-10 points preferred)

• 5+ years of SAP HCM functional experience across at least 2 full-cycle implementations or major rollout projects.
• Full mastery of enterprise and personnel structure (Personnel Area, Subarea, Employee Group/Subgroup, Pay Scale) and comprehensive Infotype knowledge.
• Experience configuring Personnel Actions, Dynamic Actions, and HR workflows, along with structural and role-based authorisations.
• Integration experience with Organisational Management (OM) and ESS/MSS portals.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on SAP Payroll configuration, including schema and PCR development (reading, writing, and debugging).
• Deep knowledge of Indian statutory payroll - PF, ESI, PT, Income Tax, TDS, Gratuity, and Bonus Act compliance.
• Strong hands-on Time Management configuration - work schedules, absence/attendance types, counting rules, quota management, and Time Evaluation.
• Experience with S/4HANA migration and payslip design/configuration using SmartForms or SAP Adobe Forms.

Other desirable skills/characteristics (2-4 points preferred)

• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors - Employee Central or Payroll integration (EC-Payroll).
• Knowledge of HCM for S/4HANA, including the Fiori-based HR experience and HCM processes on S/4HANA.
• Exposure to international payroll - GCC (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain) or African payroll configurations.
• Basic ABAP reading skills, with the ability to trace payroll schemas and PCRs independently.
