Job summary

Protiviti India seeks an experienced SAP HCM Functional Consultant with 4+ years of hands-on expertise in SAP HCM implementation, support, customization and maintenance, including Indian Payroll.

The role requires leading end-to-end SAP HCM projects, configuring PA, OM, TM, ESS/MSS, and handling payroll processes, taxes, and statutory reporting. Strong client-facing skills and cross-functional collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking an experienced SAP HCM Functional Consultant with a minimum of 4+ years of hands‑on expertise in SAP HCM, particularly in implementation, support, customization, and ongoing maintenance of the SAP HCM module and its submodules, with Indian Payroll experience being essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer expert guidance and recommendations on SAP HR best practices to optimize business processes.
• Lead and participate in system testing and validation activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate SAP HR solutions with other enterprise systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to SAP HR modules, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for end-users to facilitate effective adoption of new systems and processes.
• Demonstrate proven experience in at least 2-3 end-to-end SAP HCM implementations
• Exhibit strong command over Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Time Management, Indian Payroll, ESS (Employee Self-Service), and MSS (Manager Self-Service).
• Manage all phases of SAP HCM projects, including requirements gathering, planning, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Possess practical experience with SAP HCM Loans (both interest-bearing and interest-free) and off-cycle payroll processes.
• Maintain a solid understanding of statutory reporting requirements (such as PF, Professional Tax, LWF, etc.).
• Demonstrate proficiency in working with SCHEMAs and PCRs, as well as posting payroll results to finance systems.
• Exhibit strong analytical, communication, and client-facing skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and deliver value-added solutions
