Job summary

JK Associates seeks an experienced Site Engineer to independently manage residential construction projects from foundation to handover. You will supervise excavation, foundations, RCC and finishing works, and ensure work aligns with drawings and quality standards.

Candidate should have 5+ years of hands-on residential construction experience, proficiency in reading architectural/structural drawings, and skills in quantity estimation, material planning, and contractor billing.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Independently manage residential construction projects from foundation to final handover.
• Execute and supervise excavation, foundations, RCC, reinforcement, shuttering, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring and finishing works.
• Study architectural, structural and MEP drawings before execution.
• Identify drawing discrepancies and coordinate with architects, consultants and structural engineers.
• Plan daily, weekly and monthly site activities based on project timelines.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, supervisors, labour and vendors.
• Ensure all work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Prepare quantity calculations and estimate material requirements.
• Verify measurements, quantities and contractor bills.
• Monitor material consumption and minimise wastage.
• Plan procurement of cement, steel, aggregates, blocks, finishing materials and other required items.
• Maintain quality checks for RCC, reinforcement, masonry, waterproofing and finishing works.
• Coordinate electrical, plumbing and other MEP works with civil execution.
• Track construction progress and proactively resolve delays or site issues.
• Maintain site reports, measurements, progress records and project documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, vendors, contractors and management.
• Ensure proper site safety and housekeeping standards.
• Handle multiple residential sites when required.

Preferred candidate profile

Minimum 5 years of relevant residential construction and site-execution experience.

• Strong hands‑on experience in residential construction.
• Experience independently managing construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of RCC construction, reinforcement, shuttering and concrete works.
• Good understanding of masonry, plastering, waterproofing and finishing works.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Strong knowledge of quantity estimation and measurements.
• Experience in contractor billing and quantity verification.
• Knowledge of material planning, procurement and wastage control.
• Ability to manage labour, contractors and vendors independently.
• Strong understanding of construction quality control.
• Ability to plan site activities and meet project timelines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel between project sites across Hyderabad when required.
