Job summary

Maganaadi Constructions in Bangalore invites an experienced Site Engineer with 5–7 years of residential building construction experience to join our team. The role focuses on daily site supervision, coordinating with subcontractors and workers, and ensuring work is done per drawings, specs, and schedules.

You will manage finishing works, monitor quality, read drawings, prepare progress reports, and maintain safety on site.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in residential building construction.
• Experience with construction contractor companies.
• Strong hands-on site execution experience.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, MEP drawings.
• Knowledge of finishing works and coordination with subcontractors.
• Diploma/BE/BTech in Civil Engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise day-to-day construction activities at the residential project site.
• Execute civil and finishing works as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate and monitor masonry, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, flooring, painting, plumbing, electrical, and other finishing works.
• Check dimensions, levels, line and alignment for proper execution.
• Read and understand architectural, structural, MEP drawings and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports and site updates.
• Ensure safety practices and housekeeping on site.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in residential building construction, preferably working directly with construction contractor companies.

The candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in managing day‑to‑day site activities, coordinating with subcontractors and workers, monitoring quality, checking quantities, and ensuring that construction works are completed as per drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

Candidates with experience primarily in Infrastructure Projects, Road Works, High‑Rise Buildings, or similar large‑scale infrastructure projects are not preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise day‑to‑day construction activities at the residential project site.
• Execute civil and finishing works as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate and monitor masonry, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, flooring, painting, plumbing, electrical, fabrication, and other finishing works.
• Check dimensions, levels, line and alignment, and ensure proper execution of works.
• Read and understand architectural, structural, MEP, and detailed construction drawings.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, skilled workers, and labour teams for smooth execution.
• Plan daily and weekly site activities and ensure works are completed within the scheduled time.
• Monitor manpower deployment and productivity at the site.
• Check the quality of materials and workmanship before and during execution.
• Identify site issues and coordinate with the Project Manager / Management for timely resolution.
• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports and site updates.
• Take site measurements and verify quantities of completed works.
• Check subcontractor work measurements and support billing verification.
• Monitor material requirements and coordinate with the purchase/store team to avoid delays.
• Ensure proper storage and usage of construction materials at site.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, vendors, and other agencies whenever required.
• Ensure that works are executed as per approved drawings and avoid unnecessary rework.
• Monitor pending works and follow up with concerned subcontractors for completion.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure basic safety practices are followed at site.
• Report daily progress, delays, material requirements, manpower requirements, and site issues to the Project Manager.
• Ensure proper handover of completed works to the next stage of construction.
• Assist in snag identification, rectification, and final finishing works before project handover.

• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in residential building construction.
• Candidates should have worked with construction contractor companies.
• Experience in individual residential buildings / villas / premium residential projects will be preferred.
• Strong hands‑on site execution experience is required.
• Candidates should be comfortable working independently at the project site.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have handled civil and finishing works from execution stage to project completion.

Candidates Not Preferred

Candidates whose experience is mainly in the following areas are not preferred:

• Infrastructure projects
• Road and highway projects
• Bridge projects
• High‑rise building projects
• Large‑scale industrial projects
• Candidates who have worked mainly with PMC / Client / Consultant companies without direct contractor‑side execution experience

Education

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

Key Requirement

Relevant contractor‑side experience in residential building construction is mandatory.
