Job summary

GRB Constructions is seeking a Civil Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day construction activities on ongoing residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.

You will ensure drawings and specifications are followed, supervise labors and equipment, and coordinate with subcontractors while maintaining quality and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in civil construction site supervision on residential, commercial or infra projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day construction activities and supervise site laborers.
• Inspect reinforcement, concrete pours, masonry, and finishing to meet codes and standards.
• Monitor progress against the project schedule and report delays to the project manager.
• Requisition materials, manage site inventory and supervise equipment usage.
• Coordinate work across sub-contractors (MEP, scaffolding, steel) and approve work.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental protocols on site and conduct toolbox talks.
• Maintain daily site logs, material testing records and note any design changes.

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Site Supervision & Execution: Direct day-to-day construction activities, manage site laborers, and ensure works adhere to structural drawings and project specifications.


• Quality Control & Assurance: Inspect structural reinforcement, concrete pours, masonry, and finishing work to ensure compliance with relevant building codes and quality standards.


• Schedule & Progress Tracking: Monitor daily/weekly progress against the master project schedule, resolve site bottlenecks, and report delays to the project manager.


• Material & Resource Management: Requisition materials, verify deliveries against specifications, manage site inventory to minimize wastage, and supervise plant/machinery usage.


• Contractor & Vendor Coordination: Coordinate work across sub-contractors (MEP, scaffolding, steel bending), verify contractor measurement sheets, and authorize work completion.


• Safety Enforcement: Implement strictly health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols on-site, conducting toolbox talks and ensuring mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance.


• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain daily site logs (DLRs), keep material testing records (e.g., concrete cube testing, slump tests), and document design modifications.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Education: Bachelors degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Masters degree (M.Tech) in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.


• Experience: 3 - 7 years of hands-on experience in civil construction site supervision (residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects).


• Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in reading structural engineering drawings and architectural blueprints.


2. Working knowledge of AutoDesk AutoCAD and MS Office/Excel for site reporting.


3. Familiarity with total station/leveling instruments and on-site testing procedures.

• Core Competencies: Strong team leadership, contractor management, problem-solving under pressure, and clear verbal communication skills.


• Languages: English,Kannada,Hindi
